Our Story

In the Highlands

SB Property Maintenance is partnered and run by Steve & Annastasia Bell, and our journey began in the Highlands in 2008. After the banking crisis hit, work in many trades became uncertain. Steve returned to his first trade—joinery—but like many skilled carpenters at the time, found that the industry had become flooded with newly self-employed tradesmen. With limited opportunities, it was time to adapt.

By 2010, we shifted focus to traditional, off-ladder window cleaning. This provided a more stable foundation and allowed us to begin building long-term relationships with customers who valued quality, reliability, and a friendly local service.

Back Home in East Lothian

In 2015, SB Property Maintenance returned home to East Lothian. This marked a turning point for the business. We invested in modern water-fed pole technology, allowing us to offer pure water window cleaning—a safer, more efficient, and streak-free method that quickly became the backbone of our services. As demand grew, we naturally expanded into pressure washing and gutter cleaning, offering customers a dependable, all-in-one property care solution.

Growing Into Property Maintenance

By 2017, we added seasonal garden maintenance to our services. From regular grasscutting, hedge trimming and garden upkeep to one-off tidy-ups, we continued to build a reputation for thorough, honest, and dependable work.

Our winters are equally productive. Off season work includes:
